Should You Hire An Internet Advertising Consultant?

What can an Internet advertising consultant do you for?  You are the one that ultimately calls the shots and pays for ad placement.  If you have a marketing strategy already in place, do you really need an Internet advertising consultant?

Probably, unless you have some technical savvy when it comes to traffic generation, web programming, niche market research and split-testing (just a few of the things required for a successful online venture), you will need to hire one.  An Internet advertising consultant makes it a point to bring a professional touch to a project.  He or she will be interested in your marketing strategy as well as the types of customers you are looking for.

An Internet advertising consultant has many resources to rely on.  Your consultant may focus on media relations and write a story or press release promoting your company.  The consultant could specialize in Search Engine Optimization and write original content for you in addition to improving META tags.

Since social networks are the newest trend most consultants are hip enough to promote your site on these very populated areas.  He or she may also help you get set up with newsletters, free giveaways, affiliate programs, RSS feeds and blogs.

What about paid advertisements and PPC campaigns?  An Internet advertising consultant could help you here, and also help you in the creation of business cards, pamphlets and in posting classified ads.  As you can see, the job of an Internet advertising consultant is all encompassing.  It’s whatever works, whatever makes your company earn money and bring in more traffic.

To avoid any misunderstandings, you should talk to the consultant beforehand about what you expect to receive.  You could specifically ask for some services or let the consultant explain the options that are open to you.  An Internet advertising consultant focuses on the professional side of Internet promotion.  This is exactly what you need if you want to make money from your online business.

Top 7 Ways To Increase Web Site Traffic For Free

Many people are willing to spend thousands of dollars on Search Engine Optimization.  Did you know however, that you could increase web site traffic for free?  You can do this by optimizing your website for keywords and by following my tips below.

7. The Site Title

Start by using a keyword rich title.  This is the text in between the <title> tags in your html code.  A very powerful tool for this is  Micro Niche Finder to pick good keywords.

6. Heading Tags

Next, you can optimize the keyword in your heading tags.  These are the paragraph headings that you type in between h1, h2, h3 etc tags.

5. Alt Image Tags

Make sure your images also have “alt” tags with keywords.  These are the descriptions that show up when you hover your mouse over the image on the webpage.

4. Body Content

Use your keyword throughout the page.  Make sure you use it at the beginning of the page, preferably the first paragraph.  But don’t overuse it.  And don’t worry too much about “keyword” density, as this does not make much a difference as it use to.

3. More Pages

Create more web pages for your site rather than cram too much information on one page.  Each page on your site should be optimized for a specific keyword or keyword phrase so that you draw in traffic to your site to that specific page.

2. Add A Sitemap

Add a sitemap to your blog and submit it to google’s webmaster tools.  You can open a free account.  Search engines love sitemaps.  This is another great move for improving search rankings and also helps users who want to quickly locate a page.

1. Get Backlinks

Another way to increase web site traffic for free is to collaborate with other websites.  However, you can try to form a link partnership with a related business, a nearby company, or a friend’s business.  I’ve had excellent success sharing content with other websites in exchange for a link.

Every link helps and networking is always a good idea, no matter what business you’re in.  Remember that link popularity is one of the determining factors for influencing the overall search rankings.  Therefore, the more outside sites that link to your page, the higher your rankings will be.

Don’t Worry If Your Site Is Ugly

Most people make the mistake of spending lot of time and money creating a fancy, flash-animated website.  Fancy graphics won’t get your site to rank in search engines.  Focus on improving the methods 1-7 and you will increase web site traffic for free using these techniques.

Thanks Stuart Tan, Simon Leung, Mike Koenig…

I just got back from the Smart Seminar in Singapore!  I got to meet and connect with some world-class players on the Internet.  I got to know them personally and become friends with them.  It was just as good as I had expected.

My girlfriend loved the shopping, though it was pretty crowded everywhere you go.  It is pretty hot and humid too, despite the fact that it is mid-November… about 30 degrees celsius everyday.

We went to Sentosa, which was like a resort island and went to the underwater world, where I got to pet manta rays!  There were sharks and giant fish the size of a motor bike!  See video I posted.

Now I have a ton of new projects to work on.  I’m pretty excited because most of the speakers had incomes of at least $1,000,000+ plus per year… which seems within my reach if I work smart and work hard the next 6-12 months.  Going to this seminar really gave me the edge that I need to take my business the next level.

I want to thank especially Stuart Tan, one of the head organizers because he took time out of his extremely busy schedule to have drinks and dinner with my girlfriend and I.  It’s very inspiring to meet leaders like Stuart who practice what they preach and are very successful!

I was also very inspired by Mike Koenig who had no education and now is very well known in the internet marketing industry and is even close friends with living legends like Tony Robbins and Frank Kern.  We got to know each other too and I plan to be working with him on a project in a couple months.
