How I Started Making Money On The Web
October 12th, 2008 · Filed Under: Internet Marketing
Before I started making money on the web, about 12 months ago, I was completely broke. I was trying all sorts of different business opportunities and I lost money in almost all of them. I tried doing Currency Trading (forex), multi-level marketing, even some “high-yield” investment programs that were just elaborated ponzi schemes.
Needless to say, I felt like I was just going backwards. And I was losing the little money that I DID have at the time. But when you are desperate, you tend to do anything that gives you even the faintest hope of success.
I kind of stumbled on internet marketing. I have always been fascinated by the idea of being able to run a business completely by remote control. To not only be able to make money from home, but be able to make your home anywhere you want in the world too!
A while ago, I was looking back at the goal sheet that I made about 2 years ago. On it, I wrote that I wanted to build residual income to $3000 a month. I figured that $3000 would be plenty to cover my expenses and that I would be basically “financially free”. For a while, because I was re-arranging my room, I forgot about my goal sheet. Then about 6 months ago, my girlfriend found it and laughed and exclaimed, “Your goal was to only make $3000 a month?! Honey, you can now make that in a day!”
It’s hard to believe that I have come so far, it looks like I have achieved my goal that I made for myself about 2 years ago. And just in the last couple of months, I’ve been able to check off a lot on my goal list. I’ve been able to do fun stuff like wading in the crystal clear ocean water on a perfect sand beach, drive an ATV through a professional off-road course, go scootering around town just for the heck of exploring, buy myself a metallic gray BMW Z4 convertible roadster, give money to my family and a lot of other things that money can’t buy.
Once you make money passively, your lifestyle can change a lot. You care more about quality than price. You value time over money. Things get a whole lot easier. And you start to wonder why people slave for hours everyday to make just enough to pay the bills, maybe even less. Meanwhile, you are living the ultimate lifestyle and making money on the web.
